Preparation
- Place 220g of thick Greek yogurt in a large mixing bowl. If the yogurt is too runny, strain it through a fine sieve or cheesecloth in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
- Pour 125ml of heavy whipping cream into the bowl with the yogurt.
- Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip the yogurt and cream on medium to high speed for 2 minutes until an airy and frothy consistency is achieved.
- Gently fold through the mixture in a zigzag pattern with a spoon. The whipped yogurt should hold its shape and have a mousse-like texture.
- Transfer the whipped Greek yogurt to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- When serving, scoop or pipe portions into glasses or small containers and enjoy.
Notes
Thick Greek Yogurt can be enjoyed in various ways: topped with fresh fruits, nuts, or honey, used as a creamy base for smoothies, or served as a dip for snacks. Mix in granola for added crunch or serve with desserts for a stunning dessert bar. It can also be enjoyed straight from the container.
