Main Ingredients
  • 2 medium medium apples Approximately 300 g
  • 200 g whole grain flour About 1.5 cups
  • 100 g plain yogurt About 1/2 cup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Olive oil Optional for greasing the baking sheet

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel the apples and chop them into small pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the whole grain flour, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  4. Add the yogurt and chopped apples to the dry mixture. Stir until a consistent dough forms.
  5. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and evenly spread it out.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown on top.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can prepare the dough ahead of time and refrigerate it. For a variation, consider adding nuts or spices like nutmeg for extra flavor. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to five days, or freeze them for up to three months.
