Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups mixed seeds (such as sunflower, pumpkin, chia, and flax) Using a mix enhances both texture and nutritional value.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • to taste herbs or spices (e.g., garlic powder, rosemary) Optional for added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed seeds, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add the olive oil and water to the dry ingredients, stirring until fully incorporated. The mixture should be cohesive but may be slightly crumbly.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down firmly to ensure an even shape.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  2. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it and let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in some chopped herbs or spices. If you prefer a less dense bread, blend some of the seeds into a flour-like consistency before mixing. Let the bread cool completely before slicing to ensure cleaner cuts. Wrap leftover bread tightly to keep it fresh, or slice and freeze for later.
