Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 100 g butter, softened
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar (about 8 g)
  • 1 large egg
  • 50 ml punch About 3 tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Optional Ingredients
  • to taste Chocolate icing for decoration

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the egg to the bowl and mix well until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter mixture, along with the punch. Stir until everything is well combined.
  5. Knead the dough lightly until it becomes smooth.
  6. Take small portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  7. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and gently flatten them.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until they turn a golden brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool, and if you like, drizzle some chocolate icing on top for an extra treat.

Notes

Chill the dough for about 30 minutes if it feels too soft to handle. Experiment with different flavors of punch and consider adding chopped nuts for a crunch. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
