  • Salt and spices to taste (e.g., black pepper, paprika) Customize according to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine 300 grams of flour, sugar, salt, and water. Stir until the mixture is smooth and starts to thicken (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  2. Once cooled, add 60 grams of flour, baking powder, and 30 ml of vegetable oil to the saucepan. Mix until fully combined and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. While the dough is resting, heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat (about 1/2 inch deep).
Filling Preparation
  1. In a separate pan, sauté the finely chopped onions in a little oil until translucent.
  2. Add the minced meat, season with salt and spices, and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes until the meat is no longer pink. Stir frequently for even cooking.
Cooking
  1. Prepare the patties by taking portions of dough, rolling them into balls, and flattening them.
  2. Carefully place the patties into the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Once fried, transfer the patties to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Notes

These patties can be served warm with your favorite dipping sauce or salad. They freeze well for meal prep. For spicier kick, add chili flakes or cayenne pepper to the meat mixture.
