Ingredients

Pasta and Meats
  • 500 g spaghetti pasta 17.6 oz
  • 200 g turkey bacon, diced 7 oz
  • 200 g smoked sausage, sliced 7 oz
  • 400 g ground beef 14 oz
Vegetables and Sauce
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 520 g tomato sauce or marinara 18.3 oz
  • 150 g pitted olives 5.3 oz
  • 200 g mixed vegetables (corn, peas, carrots) 7 oz
Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • to taste all-purpose seasoning
  • 3-4 mild peppers (optional)
Toppings
  • to taste grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Method

Cooking
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add a splash of olive oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until it’s al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced turkey bacon and sliced sausage, cooking until golden brown. Remove the cooked meats and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and sauté until it turns golden brown. Then, add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Once the beef is cooked, add the paprika, followed by the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Stir and cook until the tomatoes soften.
  6. Mix in the corn, peas, and carrots along with the pitted olives. Let the mixture simmer for about 3 minutes, allowing all the flavors to meld.
  7. Finally, combine the cooked spaghetti with the meat and sauce mixture, tossing to ensure all the pasta is well-coated.
  8. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese for that extra flavor boost.

Notes

For a meat-free version, substitute with chickpeas or additional mixed vegetables. For a little kick, consider adding chopped jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the sauce. Customize your veggies based on preference.
