Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can apple pie filling, mashed (about 21 oz / 600 g)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (about 15.25 oz / 432 g)
  • 4 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (about 120 g)
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed apple pie filling with the yellow cake mix and stir well until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Add the slightly beaten eggs to the mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the self-rising flour and cinnamon, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes. To check if it's done, insert a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For serving, spread a little butter on warm slices, serve with vanilla ice cream, or enjoy with coffee or tea. To enhance flavors, consider adding nuts or raisins.
