Main Ingredients
  • 3 large large eggs
  • 1 pinch Pinch of salt
  • 1 packet 1 packet of vanilla powder (about 5 grams / 0.18 oz)
  • 8 tablespoons 8 tablespoons of sugar (100 grams / 3.5 oz)
  • 8 tablespoons 8 tablespoons of oil (sunflower or vegetable, 120 ml / 4 fl oz)
  • 8 tablespoons 8 tablespoons of milk (120 ml / 4 fl oz)
  • 8 tablespoons 8 tablespoons of yogurt (120 ml / 4 fl oz)
  • 8 tablespoons 8 tablespoons of flour (100 grams / 3.5 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon of baking powder (about 15 grams / 0.53 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (15 grams / 0.53 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons of milk (30 ml / 1 fl oz)
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Grease a rectangular baking dish measuring 22 x 12 centimeters (approximately 8.5 x 4.7 inches) with a little oil.
  3. In a deep bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and the vanilla powder until well combined.
  4. Add sugar to the egg mixture and beat until creamy and doubled in volume.
  5. Gradually add oil, stirring constantly until the mixture is uniform.
  6. Incorporate milk and yogurt, continuing to beat until well combined.
  7. Sift the flour and baking powder together, then fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until smooth.
  8. Divide the batter into two equal parts. To one part, add cocoa powder and additional milk, mixing well.
Baking
  1. In the prepared baking dish, alternately pour a portion of the light batter followed by the same amount of dark batter.
  2. Bake for approximately 35 to 40 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the cake to cool, then carefully remove it from the tin.
  4. Dust with powdered sugar, cut into slices, and serve.
